felt a great sense of achievement today. though it was really mentally draining, which was evident by the way i was fishing in the afternoon.
assigning him simple responsibilities worked, keeps him occupied, but also making him feel useful.
having them take turns at calling out their friends and helping them with the reading makes it less boring for them. and it was also fun watching them guide their friends through the words.
and not having to sit with the children all through study time really did make us feel more in control of ourselves, less exhausting, less stressful. it was nice, really.
i do think all three of us felt more in control today, which brought a really positive vibe to the class. and i could feel that the children were feeling happier as well.
of course the crazy music and movement session we had had a big influence as well.
although i got me some minor scratches while we were wrapping up for the day, i'm happy =)
