what is normal?
how do you define normal?
entities that represent the majority of the population?
or what you think every other human being has, or is doing?
who dictates what is normal?
you? me? the society? religious texts?
i don't know.
until i come to read this article, i didn't realize that all those things are considered normal.
coz i pretty much disagree with every item on that inventory. so, does that make me.......abnormal?
different cultural background? or am i just different?
i don't know.
i just realized, the word "normal" is not really in my dictionary. if i wanna refer to what people generally have/do/say, i say "generally..., usually..., most people..." and some other words i can't recall right now.
whatever thing people labelize as normal, there are bound to be some people who disagrees. and then we have what we call the majority and minority.
but then within both groups of people, there exist their own sets of stuff they label as normal too.
so who then has the right to call what's normal and what's not?
when we have different sets of standards for normality.
and here's my million-dollar question:
why then do we still define and seek normality? when there is no one single standard?
