korean celebrity "couples"

recently got back into lurking in soompi forums. more specifically fan-shipped-celebrity-"couple" forums.

stopped that for a long long while after yongseo, then got revived for a short while due to InHyun's main couple pairing. now, it's chaeki, the main couple from the innocent man. and most recently, yongseo again, though a much toned down forum due to the shippers shifting to another more organized forum i guess.

i don't really ship them as these fans do. but i do read almost every post that they write about these celebrities. their delusional (? or astute?) observations and analyses amuses me, but at the same time also pulls me into their world of couple shipping.

started visiting the threads only out of curiosity. but i should've known what kind of situation i would've gotten myself into. and with me being on holidays, and having more time to go online, it's as if i've gotten addicted to the damned forums again. well, maybe i already am.

oh well, back to these couples and why i got curious and hooked.

so, yongseo and inhyun's cases are pretty well obvious. i followed yongseo while they were in the faux-reality show called we got married. and then i watched inhyun in that awesome romantic drama called queen inhyun's man. and well, i believed the "chemistry" i saw on screen. which is very much confirmed behind the scenes as well for inhyun as they're now a couple, real or not.

and chaeki? didn't really pick up anything from their drama as i was too caught up in the story and was trying my hardest to finish catching up to the latest episodes. but damn if the behind the scenes photos and video clips did not suck me into that vortex called chaeki fandom. just so suspicious. and we fans will forever be in the dark as they would most likely keep any budding romance under super tight wraps, unless of course they got caught. which i would've prefered anyway coz these two are just too adorable and pretty not to be together and too much attention on their private lives is just bad. and just do like mr and mrs jang dong gun, i won't mind at all.

i've gotta say, no matter how wrong or delusional the fans' essays on the interactions between their celebrity pairing, some of them actually sound plausible, convincing even. heck, even i was convinced. especially for chaeki's fans. sometimes it's really scary how they scrutinize every word and body language and make explanations that make sense. quite interesting the different lengths people would go to to justify why they like something and someone. oh well, i'm also one of those people, else i wouldn't be writing another essay here as well. haha.

and the recent developments between yongseo has suddenly rekindled that nagging feeling i had of those two young people. that they might be possible as an item. i wouldn't go so far as they'd be married and have kids, although i would love for them to be, since they're still young. but that there is a possibility for them to foster that romantic connection, just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. if they're really in that kind of relationship, i really hope for the best for them.

with one couple proving to be real, another appearing to blossom, will chaeki come to fruition as well?

i hope so.
