went to psyc of film class today for their first round of short film screening.
so glad i went. gonna go next week too ^^
so fun watching people you know on film XD
some of the movies were really high quality. can compete with some of our local independent short films =)
but that's not the point.
so what if you have superior equipments.
so what if you have inferior editing techniques.
so what if your music tie-in didn't fit.
so what if you have amazing acting abilities.
so what if your ideas are not the most original.
it was the blood, sweat, and tears that mattered.
all the ideas and hardwork behind the 10-minute film.
i was really impressed with some of their song choices, shooting angles, editing and humor.
but what made an impact were the messages a few of the movies tried to convey.
like that one about appreciating the significant people around you before it's too late; that one about people's lives; that one about solitude and friendship; and that one about suicide.
got me thinking again about what really matters.
but eight 10-minute short films in three hours is......bombarding.
i'm having a slight headache now because of that, added with the fact that i didn't get enough of sleep the night before.
side note: wonder what Dr. H has to say about being wrong about the prefrontal cortex. LOL.
