K-drama Doctors Ep 8 preview

There seemed to be trouble with the awake surgery. But I have a feeling that it will turn out well. Just sth to keep viewers in the edge of their seats. Well if it doesn't, then it's a great plot point for character growth in the male lead. Though I don't really want that for him as it also concerns lifting the hospital's reputation.

As for the friend, his surgery might leave him with some kind of complication. Or maybe even death. Since the female lead needs to have growth in her character and career. It's just gonna be a bit painful for us to watch. But hey, life's not always breezy. Especially in this drama, doctors are not omnipotent, let alone the main lead.

I'm totally fine with both leads not working together as a team. But don't give me noble idiocy kind of crap that separates them please. Won't it be refreshing to see them work together closely while figuring out their romance? Alas, this is korean drama we're talking about here. Not likely gonna happen.

Becoming quite selective with my attention for drama side plots. Totally annoyed with the hospital politicking scene. We'll see if that's necessary.

Watched the snippet for today's episode. With the way they're having a celebration at the best friend's pub, things are going to be fine, A-okay. What character growth? What plot maturity? They don't disappoint.

Still... This is a romance k drama set in hospital. If people expect it to be a humanistic medical drama, as advertised, then they have too much faith in the k drama audience. Especially when it's aired on SBS? Ok well, there was Punch. But nothing much has changed since.

Humanity? Throw in a couple of words and there you have it. Medical? Speak jargon and there you have it. Realism? Pfft. Expected nothing else but this touch-and-go approach. But hey, I'm in the mood for fluffy stuff. Watched coz I was curious, again... Curiosity kills the cat; besides, I was bored.

So many aspects yet unexplored. Well, we're not even at the mid point yet. The way things are progressing at the moment... Not expecting nuanced development in that area. Well... Some explanations will be present in later episodes, but yeah, not expecting it to dig deep. Too linear. Simplistic.

Human medical drama? Might as well watch Grey's Anatomy.
