whenever people find out about what i do, the thing that they will say almost by default is how noble i am, how big-hearted i am or that i'm a very kind person.
i'd agree with you if you say that i'd need a lot of patience.
i'd agree with you if you say this is not a difficult job to take on.
i'd agree with you if you say this is an interesting career choice.
i'd agree with you if you doubt this is the right career for me. coz i'm not 100% sure either, though i'm pretty certain this is what i'd do for the rest of my life.
but i'd disagree with you if you say i'm noble or big-hearted to choose this job.
coz honestly, i don't think i'm either.
and secondly, i don't choose a job coz it's noble or shows that i'm big-hearted.
and i'm definitely not a very kind person.
i can be very cruel and vicious sometimes.
but no matter how i try to get it to their heads that i'm none of what they say about me, they'd still insist. coz to them, their perception of me is right. i must be what they think i am.
people's perceptions can be so difficult to influence sometimes.
