Silver for Lee Chong Wei again

it was an awesome match. i enjoyed it a lot, although i sat out some parts coz i was afraid that me watching would jinx him. but in the third set i stayed and watched till the end anyways. and i was even trying to send all my wishes and "energy" through the tv screen to him, to cheer him on or whatever. lol, i'm serious.

coming into the finals, i had a very good vibe about the match. i was convinced that he would finally take the gold. and i tell you i could smell it while i was watching.

unfortunately it wasn't meant to be.

i am crushed for him. i am disappointed for not having the satisfaction of taking the gold from Lin Dan. i am resigned for not being able to hear our national anthem in the Olympics yet again.

but i am super proud of him.

and to have the chance to see their friendship, was really nice. and if you're blind to that, i'm sorry for you. Lin Dan may not have the friendliest or nicest personality, and yes, he's arrogant on court; but off the court, he is Lee Chong Wei's friend. just because they're archrivals doesn't mean that they can't be friends. just because Lin Dan defeated our Lee Chong Wei it doesn't mean that we have to hate him.

seriously people, don't be so shallow, can you?

and congratulations to Lin Dan for defending his title. it was well-fought and hard-earned. though it would've been more awesome if Lee Chong Wei won and join you and Taufik as Olympic champions and you three could form a club or something.

though it's not the case, may you three enjoy a long-lasting and strong friendship. have your cute babies play badminton together =P
