back from HK

after a one week break from the rest of the world except our family and HK, i felt dumb and ignorant. for not being up-to-date with the happenings around the world.

but it was a good relaxing, unhurried, go-with-the-flow time. with minimal distractions of the problems of the world.

though we didn't do much in HK, it was time well spent just enjoying whatever was coming our way. some people may disagree with how we spent our time, not going to certain places. but it's exactly our style. which in fact made our trip even more interesting, in our opinion.

the wedding was wonderful, though it was very exhausting on the couple. non-stop moving from point to point the whole day. it was exhausting for us to watch as well.

meeting the family was nice. spending time with them was nicer. coz now, they're not just a face and name whom i should know but don't really know. though we're not much closer, at least the "cousin" means more now. well, at least it means more to me.

no likey the air quality over there. not good for me sensitive nose. already the air is cold now that winter is arriving, the dust particles in the air is irritating. there were moments when it was difficult for me to draw in air. almost went to a doctor because of that.

i enjoyed just immersing myself among the hustle and bustle of HK. walking at a leisurely pace, just observing the hurried pace of HK people, or the excited and rich shoppers from China discussing what's nice in which shop, or the angmoh tourists haggling with the local (or Chinamen) hawkers.

i may not have been at my best tourist mood with a mild flu and an allergic and swollen lips. i was even gloomy at times. and sleepy and tired too. totally not in the mood to take many pictures as i expected i would've.
but i enjoyed myself as much as i could nonetheless.
