but it was nice. very nice.
the sense of accomplishment and fulfillment from successful "products" and amusement from the few blunders. hahahaha.
and the meaningful time spent with my parents, though i couldn't escape from some nagging from them. oh well...they're right though, what they said. so i didn't lose anything also, since i learned to just open my ears and listen well, and truly learned.
the whole process is long. i don't know about other dumpling-making process, but our family's is pretty tedious. it takes 3 whole days to make the hundred or so dumplings. my parents are still the masters, they do all those important, mastery stuff. i'm just the helper/apprentice.
it's becoming very apparent to me these days that our family really bond through food. we show love through food. we fight over food. we make up through food. we show gratitude through food. we share through food.

and i love it.
coz i love food. hahahahahahaha.
it's no wonder, coz my whole family loves food. and we eat, a lot. and we have sensitive taste buds. hahahahaha. inherited from my grandmother, perhaps.
really grateful that my mom learnt the trade before my grandmother passed away. really grateful for my dad's years of experience in my grandmother's kitchen.
really grateful that we value food that much.
