i was stunned speechless. for a while, i had no idea how to react. just continued cleaning the tables.
took me quite a while to reorganize my thoughts and feelings before i responded. lucky there was nic's mom asking lots of questions...gave me enough time.
knowing she was going to a good center helps. knowing that it wasn't us that she's leaving helps. knowing that the change might be better for her helps.
but i still can't help but be sad and disappointed, that we're not good enough, that we can't provide the kind of education for her. that i won't have the opportunity to teach her again, and deal with her rebellious streak, and watch her grow. she's the rose among the thorns in her class. though she was difficult at times, she was a delight to teach.
i hope we'll see her again. there's no reason for us not to keep in touch.
i'm still sad.

Cheer up girl...
People come and go. Just wish her all the best and there's nothing stopping you from keeping in touch with her so don't feel too sad. Hugs =)
