Clumsy Quickie (3 - 8 March 2008)

hi. back with quickie again. a result of having so much to share but too busy (lazy) to blog.

3 March.
nothing much actually. except that i quarreled with mom on sth very ridiculous n trivial. couldn't help thinking i should've shut my mouth when i need to.

oh yea...the scarf-wearing uncle who drives one of HELP's shuttle bus slammed into some poor student's new MyVi. i was in his bus. summore sitting near where he langgar the poor MyVi. heard a loud 'grueekkkkk' sound. then my friend and i looked out the rear window and saw the poor girl shocked and furious. and the uncle looked angry too. guess he's angry at himself 4 having to pay 4 the damages. don't think HELP would cover for his mistake. or would they?? i won't know.

u know what? one of my friends call the uncle "hoi dou suk suk" (pirate uncle) coz of the scarf on his head. cute huh? i'm impressed.

4th March.
magazine presentation for Mass Comm class. had to make a magazine cover then present it during tutorial. a group work. thank God. or else we won't get a 9 out of 10 for it. millions and billions of thanks to my group mate, Siew Ooi. she made a very nice cover. and a creative one too. also, she made it the night before our presentation. i owe her big.

however, i gotta say our group pretty much is the worst presenters in the whole class. we were obviously unprepared. also, it's very obvious we didn't wanna go out and do the presentation. so...how we got the 9 is mostly bcoz of the magazine cover. obviously.

hmm...other groups who did very well on the presentation is probably fuming right now. no matter. have to focus on next monday's midterm and the coming group project.

5th March.
attended a talk in conjunction with International Women's Day. Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir and Shannon Shah gave insightful views into what's going on in Malaysia and around the world on issues about women. actually, they talk a lot about gender equality. started the thinking ball rolling a few rounds quicker. i'm glad.

was going to blog about it. coz it's inspiring. but...as usual, i delay things. now...i don't know how to write it. with these kinda thing, u really have to put your thoughts on the paper asap. speaking of which, i need to do a review on both the talks. dang! should've done it when i got home.

6th March.
Jusco Kepong's Member's Day Sale. it was crowded in and out of the building. as expected, a huge traffic jam around the area. in the parking also.

i was in there for 45 mins at most. wanted to get a daily planner and update my phone account. turns out i have to go to Carrefour, which is across the street, to do it. n the daily planner? there wasn't any that suited what i wanted. now i have to go to 1U or The Curve to get it. dang! i don't have that much extra time.

ended up getting Kyo Kara Maou [God(?) Save Our King!] season 1 DVD. 30% discount ler. which is just rm56 for the whole series. wahahahahaha. gonna watch it again soon. after my semester ends.

oh...sifu taught us a few more kungfu moves. 'gao nan du' (tough stuff) man.... still blur blur though i barely managed to do the moves.

7th March.
got my wisdom tooth removed. going to remove another one later.

huh? u ask y i so "lucky"? after spraining my back, breaking my toe, and now removing my wisdom teeth???

hahaha...yea...i'm also puzzled as to why my body is so adventurous. have to experience so many ups and downs. oh well...

8th March.
cooked my lunch today while my family went for their lunch at one of my favourite restaurants. arghh...i miss the 'beef noodle'.

what did i cook ar? boiled vermicelli (mee sua / mian xian) with minced pork, fried egg and korean crispy seaweed. hahaha...my 1st time making sth like that. adapted from some fuzhou restaurant in Jalan Ipoh. it's not bad actually. just overfried the egg. all thanks to my dad. who said to cook until 'that' color so it would be tastier.

i'm not saying he doesn't know how to cook. in fact...he can be a better cook than my mom if he wants to. it's a fact that the 'Ng' brothers can cook very well. eat extremely well too =P

what went wrong with my egg then?? well...he came and help me fry the egg for a while, then went off for his lunch. then......i left the egg on the wok for a short while longer...so that it would be tastier maa... but.......

never mind. we make mistakes so we could do better next time, right?

there. lesson learnt.
