Ouran

the manga just concluded. with the omake and glimpses into the future. but the drama has just started.

i watched the 1st episode today. well, what can i say. i still love the manga best.

the twins didn't disappoint =D neither did nekozawa.

haruhi is not as pretty as manga-haruhi. nor is she as handsome as manga-haruhi. but otherwise ok.

tamaki...well, he's a good actor. but still lacks the essence of tamaki's flamboyance, charm and charisma. and he's not as handsome, as tall and as french as manga-tamaki. heh.

kyouya senpai...sigh. disappointed. where is my sharp, cool, aloof, calculating kyouya senpai? where's that know-it-all eyebrow?

hani senpai...not cute at all. hugging the bunny all the time doesn't make you cute, ya know. haven't you watched at least the anime? or observed a sunshiney child?

mori senpai...so totally not the mori i know. he may be a bit kayu but he's definitely not bored. he just doesn't express his thoughts and feelings on his face. his body language is the most interesting to watch. that slight shift in his stance. that slight inclination of his head. and those eyes. and you're not tall and handsome and gentle yet masculine. sigh...so disappointing.

and they omitted all the interesting details that make ouran fun.

not planning to watch the drama. i was jz curious when i saw it on mysoju. but maybe i'll watch for the sake of satisfying my curiosity.

when i heard they were making the drama i had the feeling that it wouldn't be up to par with the manga. i want my lightbulb moments. i want the craziness and the structured-ness from the manga.
well, the drama won't give me that.

if i'm watching, i'll have to throw the manga out of my mind and jz enjoy the drama as it is. to be fair to the drama. but it'll be tough to do.
