by the by...it's obvious my english has really gone worse. i'm using Manglish in my title. there goes my noble intention of keeping proper english writing...
okay...back to my wisdom tooth.
did the surgery today (friday...11 am) at the University Hospital. a daughter of a friend of my father's performed it.
many thanks to her for everything. of course she's a dentist/dental surgeon there.
the whole procedure is very fast actually. much faster than that dentist in sri sinar who took almost as much time to remove another tooth of mine which wasn't even in the gum. i'm never going back there. ever again.
injected two large doses on anesthetics around the area of my left-bottom wisdom tooth. it was painless. really. she has delicate hands....good skills...
then i could feel nothing of my teeth. not even a tiny ant-bite when she started cutting my gums surrounding the wisdom tooth. u only feel something pressing hard on you...no pain whatsoever.
listening to the sounds...(could see nothing coz i was 'blindfolded'. i was covered all over in green cloth. yea...they even wrapped my head. only my mouth n nose could be seen. it's actual purpose was to prevent infection n avoid messiness)...i could tell when she is scraping n drilling the tooth so that she could extract it easier. however...i had no idea when she took my tooth out. maklumlah....i can feel n see nothing what...
but she did tell me when it was removed. then she started cleaning the wound. don't like the salty taste......reminds me exactly why i don't like dentists...
after cleaning the wound...she started "sewing" my gums back. (hahaha...sew....think my gums are cloth ar? haha...) hmm....first time man...quite interesting. n did i say she has delicate hands? she was done with the stitching quite fast... erm...of course she's fast. it's a very common procedure for her ler...
haha...i was a bit worried she might accidentally stitch my tongue. hahaha...idiot. kept moving my tongue to the other side.... *shakes head* in the end my tongue felt tired....hahahahaha
the left side of my face is a bit swollen right now. no sharp pain...just numbing pain. only when i eat does it feel really uncomfortable. i swallowed porridge. i actually wanted to drink the porridge but because of the minced pork....i had to chew a bit -_-"
minor surgery only...no need whatsoever to be bedridden. just a bit overwhelmed. am "functioning" fine. just a bit blur right after the surgery that i miscalculated the surgery payment. hahahaha
oh yeah...it's quite interesting how the assistants treat me like i've undergone major surgery. oh well...i could see from their point of view that the anesthetic could affect someone. also the fact that it's really not advisable for me to move around that much to avoid further bleeding. n that i might be too overwhelmed by the surgery.
but to let my sis pay for the bill n get the medicine for me???
hmmm... a bit funny, isn't it?
anyway...i did ask mt to do all that. but...she was listening to music n reading comic when i told her that. the look she gave me was... "Huh?? Why do i have to do it leh? U cannot do meh? So weird.." yea...that look. it was more of confusion n reluctance than resentment.
in the end i went back n get the medicine meself. might as well coz i wouldn't have remembered which pills is which if mt had gone instead. n she'd be really unhappy if i interrupt her in the middle of her camp activities just to ask which is which. not that i'm really forgetful but......just to make sure ma....hehe
one down...one more to go. have no idea when i'll do it. busy semester. lots of projects to do. can't take another day off lying there flipping tv channels which applying an ice-pack to the cheek. 2nd year alrd ler......
